About the business
The Cupcake Queens is a family owned and operated business with 9 retail locations across Melbourne and is consistently voted one of Melbourne’s top destinations for outstanding cupcakes.
You may not have heard of Monique Milenkovic but if you haven’t tasted one of her delicious cupcakes, you’re missing out. Monique escaped the corporate life to opened her first Cupcake Queens store in Williamstown in 2010. Six years later her business has become the biggest cupcake distributor in Australia with 9 stores across Metro Melbourne, one bakery, 60 staff – and still expanding. During the same period, she found time to expand her family, with 4 kids under 6 years of age. She attributes her success to clear goal setting, recognising the need to delegate and meticulous organisation (and a love of labelling). Monique is an ambassador for the Nicholas Jac Milenkovic Foundation, in memory of her lost son, and has raised over $25,000 for the cause.
